Since 2017, Bao Canteen has been on a delicious mission: to introduce the world to a treasure of Taiwanese street food—the gua bao.
A small steamed bun, as soft as a cloud, that packs a world of flavors—blending sweetness, character, and pure joy with every bite.

Behind this bold concept is a passionate team led by Xavier Marionneau, an executive chef with a Michelin-starred background (up to 3 stars, no less!). He creates Asian-inspired dishes with a European twist, offering an experience that is both refined and comforting.

Each bao is a journey: a perfect balance between tradition and modernity, between the streets of Taipei and French-style gourmet cuisine.
And because at Bao Canteen we don’t do anything halfway, the restaurant also has a surprise in store: a private karaoke room. To savor, to sing, to share. In short, to experience to the fullest.
